Anti Elvis Buttons

These pins were manufactured by a different process from those with the likeness or message stamped directly on the metal . These buttons had the message printed on a piece of paper that was then coved by a disk of celluloid before being mounted on a metal back by a machine. Often used to reflect the differing opinions of Elvis during the mid 1950s , these allowed the wearers to proclaim just where they stood on this important issue. Parker sold the I love Buttons to the fans and then sold the Anti to those who did not like Elvis . Making money on both sides for himself and Elvis. Since there are fewer of these pins in existence , they are more scarce then the pro Elvis pins .
