Bob Ferguson Interview

In 1958 Bob Ferguson became a police officer and began hearing stories from other officers about how much Elvis enjoyed being around policemen. This didn't strike me as odd, because many famous people like having policemen around them for security and protection, as well as the image it projects. Soon it became evident Elvis's feelings for police went beyond that. Elvis actually thought of himself as a police officer. Of course, Elvis was an honorary officer in many, many departments across the United States, and he held the rank of Honorary Reserve Captain in the Memphis Police Department.
