COLONEL TOM PARKER

COLONEL THOMAS PARKER WAS TRULY THE MAN BEHIND THE LEGEND OF ELVIS PRESLEY.

I HAVE RECENTLY DISCOVERED ,THAT THE COLONEL WAS A EXTENSION OF RCA.

IT WAS HE WHO CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF THE SOUNDTRACK ALBUMS.

IT WAS HIS IDEA TO PUT PHOTO INSERTS IN THEM FOR US TO COLLECT.

THE ALOHA FROM HAWAII CONCERT WAS ALSO HIS IDEA.

MANY FANS DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN THE CREDIT HE DESERVES.

ONE OF THE COL. FIRST CLIENTS WAS EDDY ARNOLD. THIS IS A OLD ADVERTISEMENT FOR HIS MOVIE. LOOK FAMILIAR?

1994 banquet and ball . honoring the Colonel

Greetings Joe,

December 7, 1994 the Showman's League of America honored Colonel at their dinner which was held in the convention section of the Las Vegas Hilton.  I was seated with Colonel during the entire evening.

The Showman's League were filming this party and the lights that were focused on our table were very, very bright.  Colonel had difficulty seeing because of the lights and finally we asked that they be turned off (or moved away a short distance), but they moved the lights only a very short distance away.  The next day Colonel had to see his ophthalmologist because his eyes were painful.  The lights had caused a problem that took several days to heal.

Other than the lighting, the party was a very nice one and enjoyed by Colonel.
