SUN RECORDS

GOOD ROCKIN TONIGHT / I DON'T CARE IF THE SUN DON'T SHINE

SUN 210 , 1954

value $2,000 - $3,500

THERE ARE A LARGE AMOUNT OF FAKE SUNS. ITS A  COLLECTORS DREAM TO HAVE ALL 5 SUNS. I HAVE TWO. ONE 78 AND A 45. SUNS WERE RELEASED  IN BOTH. A GOOD WAY TO MAKE SURE YOU GET A AUTHENTIC SUN IS TO LOOK FOR 3 PUSH MARKS UNDER THE LABEL. THEY WERE THERE SO THEY COULD BE USED ON JUKE BOXES.

SOME COLLECTORS WILL EVEN TAKE A BROKEN SUN, JUST FOR THE LABEL. VALUE OF LABEL $45.00

THEY WERE ONLY PRINTED ON BLACK VINYL. THERE WAS NEVER A SUN EP. THERE WERE NEVER PICTURE SLEEVES FOR SUN OR WHITE LABEL PROMOS.

IF YOU SEE 1973 STAMPED IN THE TRAIL OFF WAX . ITS A REISSUE THAT WAS DONE IN 1973

MYSTERY TRAIN / I FORGOT TO REMEMBER TO FORGET

SUN 223 , 1955

value $1.250 - $2,500

THEY WERE ONLY PRINTED ON BLACK VINYL. THERE WAS NEVER A SUN EP. THERE WERE NEVER PICTURE SLEEVES FOR SUN OR WHITE LABEL PROMOS.

if you see 1973 in the trailoff wax its a fake.

ELVIS'S SUN RECORDS CAME IN BROWN PAPER SLEEVES. MOST COLLECTORS SHOW THEM IN THE GENERIC SUN SLEEVE.

These values seem extreme, however; they are from a recent auction.
